Hon’ble Chancellor’s Message for USLR
The University School of Law and Research is known for the excellence of its educational programs, the research and teaching experience of its faculty, and the contributions it makes to the community. USLR is a vibrant institution that makes a difference in the lives of our students and alumni.
The University School of Law and Research is committed to providing students with the knowledge, tools and facilities required for them to be at the forefront of tackling the social and moral problems of the day, while helping them lead the complex transformation that current environmental and socio-political challenges pose for our societies, especially in the developing world.
Our endeavor has been to transform legal education into justice education and to be an instrument of social, political and economic change. The primary mission of USLR is to create lawyers who will be professionally competent, technically sound and socially relevant. They shall enter the front rows of the Bar and the Bench to address imperatives of the new millennium, uphold the values of Indian Constitution and help strengthen the rule of law in the country. This necessarily means that students at our prestigious School of Law shall be the bridge connecting the law with society, economics, and politics.
USLR recognizes the importance of all round development of students, both mental and physical, and therefore, ensures that sufficient infrastructure and opportunities are available for the students in this regard. Apart from enriching experience in the classroom various cultural and sports activities are organized from time to time so as to rejuvenate the minds of students from the daily academic activities. The University is committed to reach the zenith of imparting education and truly providing world class education. In its endeavor to reach this pinnacle, I appeal to all students, faculty, staff, parents and the public at large, to cooperate and encourage our best efforts in this direction. I offer my best wishes to all the members of USLR family and others associated with it, who are working incessantly to take the school to the heights of academic excellence. I hope that with the present pace of learning and growth, together, we will be able to achieve this objective."
